The technology ventures and product management graduate certificate is ideal for the engineer in any size company (start-up to Fortune 50) who aspires to lead a product line or business unit within their company.
The course sequence covers the entire life-cycle of a commercially successful product, starting with an in-depth analysis of the product development process itself, and then progressing to managing when and how to launch the new product, forecasting sales based on detailed marketing plans, paying attention to competition landscape, and when to schedule required product upgrades, all while achieving the business' financial objectives and that of the supply chain.
The courses are taught by faculty that have successfully launched new products or new companies, and have therefore lived what they teach.
Finally, extensive use of case studies and business simulation exercises provide the students a practical and hands-on way of experiencing the material taught in the classroom, preparing them for their leadership role in an industrial environment.
