Eligibility

The Mortenson Center in Global Engineering offers a graduate certificate to degree-seeking graduate-level engineering students (including BS/MS students in their final year and MS or PhD students) enrolled in a department within the College of Engineering and Applied Science. It is primarily designed for students who want to learn about global development or who have an interest in possibly pursuing a career in the fields of community development or humanitarian engineering.

The global engineering graduate certificate requirements are separate from the graduate degree requirements established by each student's home department. Therefore, graduate students interested in completing the certificate need to contact their respective academic advisors to determine how the certificate courses will fit into their overall degree plan.
