The Environmental Center is offering a micro-credential for the Climate Justice Leadership Alliance (CJLA) which empowers students with knowledge and skills to advance both sustainability and social justice efforts by understanding their interdependence. This micro-credential will equip students with extensive knowledge and exposure to climate justice issues which includes the historical knowledge of social and environmental justice movements, systems thinking and systems change, as well as community organizing for climate justice.

Requirements

Attend two out of four monthly gatherings.

Attend one half day training offered each semester & submit a one-page reflection paper, presentation, animation or video. If desired, please reach out about an alternative.

Attend at least one event centering climate justice outside of CJLA with a one-page reflection paper, presentation, animation or video. If desired, please reach out about an alternative.

Submit a final reflection at the end of the program with plans to integrate lessons learned from the program. Reflection can include a 2-3 page paper, presentation, animation or video. If desired, please reach out about an alternative.
